Ticton
Ticton is TokenXGames' take on the classic grid game — place your mark, block your opponent, and try to line yours up first. It comes in two board sizes for two different paces of play.
How to Play
Ticton is played on a grid, and two board sizes are available: the familiar 3x3 "Classic" grid, and a larger 6x6 "Advanced" board for a longer, more tactical match.
Players alternate placing marks on the grid. On the 3x3 Classic board, the goal is the standard one: line your marks up before your opponent does. The 6x6 Advanced board uses the same place-and-block format on a larger grid, with far more space to set up threats and force your opponent to defend before either of you can complete a line.
When a match ends, the winning line is highlighted directly on the board, so it's always clear which marks decided the match.
Modes Available
- Online — matched automatically against another available player.
- Play Bot — practice against an AI opponent at Starter or Tactical difficulty.
- Play With Friends — create a private room and invite a specific friend.
- Tournaments — Ticton is also playable as a tournament game mode, joined directly from a tournament entry rather than the standalone lobby.
Online and Friend-room matches also support raising the bet mid-match: either player can propose a higher stake, and the match continues at the new amount only once the other player accepts — in addition to the fixed stake selected at the start.
Match Details
Choose your board size — 3x3 Classic or 6x6 Advanced — before a match begins. Bot practice is available at Starter or Tactical difficulty on either board size, so you can get a feel for the larger 6x6 grid before wagering Coins on it.
During an Online or Friend-room match, either player can propose raising the bet, and the match continues at the new stake only if the other player accepts. This sits alongside — not instead of — the fixed stake chosen when the match was created.

Getting Started
- Open TokenXGames in Telegram and sign in with your Telegram account.
- Open Ticton from the games list.
- Choose your board size, 3x3 Classic or 6x6 Advanced.
- Pick a mode — Online to be matched with a real opponent, Play Bot to practice for free, or Play With Friends to invite someone directly.
- If you're staking Coins, confirm your bet before the match starts.
New to the 6x6 board? Try it in Play Bot mode first — the extra space changes the pacing noticeably compared to the classic 3x3 grid, and practicing costs nothing.
Strategy Tips
On the 3x3 Classic board, the center square is worth taking first if it's open — it sits on more possible winning lines than any edge or corner, so claiming it early gives you the most ways to complete a line and the most lines to block.
The 6x6 Advanced board changes the game more than the size suggests: a single mark rarely threatens a win on its own, so matches come down to building two threats at once so your opponent can only block one. Rushing to place marks without planning a second threat is the most common way to lose on the larger grid.
If either player proposes raising the bet mid-match, weigh the board state before accepting — a raise offered right after your opponent completes a strong setup is a signal they like their position, not just a formality.
Practice the 6x6 board against a Tactical-difficulty bot before wagering Coins on it — the pacing and threat-building involved are different enough from the 3x3 Classic board that Classic experience alone won't carry over directly.
